I'm a retired Spanish professor and linguist and I minored in French. In addition, I have taken two years of Portuguese, Dutch, Hebrew and American Sign Language. My current pursuit is Russian. I am at a low A1 level and most online readings are way too hard. Lingua is just perfect. Questions are helpful and it wonderful to be able to choose either a female or a male voice for the recorded version. I will recommend this to the students.I tutor.

I have been reading short stories in multiple languages for a few weeks now and really enjoying them. I like the idea that I know difficult level in European language framework.

The exercises provided are good but I feel as if I'm missing a lot of work with verb conjugations. For me this is the most challenging part of learning Spanish and would appreciate the chance to learn and practice.

I like lingua, I read every day,text from easy to difficult.

I filled out a JotForm and emailed the info@lingua.com on 6/5/26 and have not received a response for my inquiry. I wish it was easy to get in touch with someone at the company.

A great selection of different ways to learn and practice a language. however as a user there are a lot of user friendly improvements that can be made to make learning far more user friendly. With these changes in place (yes I have suggested improvements) then 4 stars would be in order.

The large number of dialogues of differing levels of difficulty combined with the ability to change the playback speed make the listening component of lingua invaluable to ESL teachers and their students.

I was looking for a website where I could practice all my languages, and it turned out to be perfect because there are so many languages available. I was also impressed by the number of texts on the platform, and the best part is that all the texts come with audio. This is excellent because I can listen to the pronunciation while practicing my listening and reading skills at the same time. The price is also very good. I'm so happy that I found this website to study with.

Voices are good, content is good, and navigation is simple. Speed adjustment is to be appreciated. Price is reasonable for a Canadian. The library is ample for my purposes.

I purchased premium access, but it turned out that the Danish section includes only 50 texts and no additional content.

I appreciate the work that has gone into the platform; however, 50 texts are not sufficient. I’m quite disappointed with this limitation.

I am highly impressed with lingua.com, its my favorite. I strongly recommend it to all those who are interested in learning langauges. There is a plethora of various modalities of various langauges throughout all dimensions. The good news is that they have many free materials as well, even if you don't want to take a paid subscription, it is still a great place to learn.

I'm teaching beginning Spanish to a couple of friends. I like the variety and progression of the readings. However, the Dictation and Listening Comprehension selections are too long and complicated for the A1 learner. I tend not to use the grammar section too often as one of my students insists on translation for everything, and I am trying to get her into the habit of comprehension of the language.

I only first tried the content of this website for the last 30 minutes. So far I have read, comprehended, and successfully answered all questions. I have even been able to write up quick 3 sentence summaries of each story in the target language to help with language retention. I am already feeling like I am learning more on here than on other language apps which I spent years trying to learn on.

The become fluent enough to understand street-speed speech when it's hurled at you, Lingua is the only source I've managed to find that's graded and controllable. I'd like to suggest that an even simpler series of texts for beginners where new vocabulary is included progressively which would strengthen familiarity.
I find that listening to the audio at a comprehensible speed while reading the text confirms that all of the vocabulary is known. An words not recognized should be looked up and then listen to the audio without the text at a speed where you don't get lost and the mind fogs over. Then, progressive listening's with different speakers creates greater audio awareness and comprehension. Maybe such a suggestion should be posted as advice for new learners so that they get off to a more valuable start . . .

In the story 'Simple Ways to enjoy nature in Spring' I selected Amber to read. in question 3, she reads 'polish' as the culture not as cleaning the floors as it is written.

Very good and useful and great options

I found this website by a tik tok suggestion and I tried and I love it. I found fairly helpful for practicing English skills in a different way.

Vocabulary section is not bad but You should change to common words.
Dictation section is my Favorite one, I have improved a lot in this one and it is great to have an automatic grade.
Listening and Reading section are also good, short and interesting texst.

We are so glad to find Lingua. We used it last night for our class and it was a huge success. The students enjoyed the stories and the dictation was a productive challenge for each student.

You don't give new dictation, I have been subscribing this for last 4/5 years. It is very helpful but there should be new dictation and streaming also. Business English can also be improved, it has not been revised for a long time. Please take some steps.

The content is fine and the audio recordings are good

In the grammar exercises, I would like an explanation of the essence of what is to follow. Eg. Use of "mal" , "malo". With an explanation, the student could then apply the rules to the exercises which follow. At the moment, the student does not know the rationale. With short initial instruction the learning would be more efficient.

I love the listening excercises, however it seems there are rarely new ones. I don't know how often you add content, but for me it feels far and few between.

I enjoy the Grammar. I also like listening then answering questions. It helps me to feel more confident when I understand the dialogue!

I gave many language sites a try; e.g. Babbel, Duolingo, Basuu, Memrise, 123teachme, Learn a Language. Not one of them comes close to your site which is wierd because most of them charge a considerable amount & yours is mostly free.

I like having all the material that You offer, but I think the questions You make for the texts are too obvious...Not all of them but most of them. They are b1 and their alternatives are like a2 You have to review that

I already know French and Italian, but the program helps my memory through the quick reading, the vocabulary and the grammar exercises. I like particularly the fact that the speakers keep a regular speed (not too fast, not too slow), what is very helpful. The program is fun and I imagine effective for both learning and maintaining a language.

Lingua.com gives valuable resources through reading and listening. That's what I was looking for.

It's good to have the texts and the audio, maybe in the future, a translation of a preferred choice right side by side with the text in the reading section.
